Small win - insurances & warranties!

I’ve never been good at keeping up with insurances and registering things I buy for the warranties, and this, sad to admit, was because I couldn’t keep on top of the paperwork, as silly as it sounds, I used to ask myself where will I put it? How will I remember where I put it? How will I keep track when the warranty or insurance ends/needs renewal? I’ve got more important things to worry about like keeping humans alive (as for the plants, I’ve come to conclude if they live, they live. RIP hosta’s eaten by snails :broken_heart:).

But not anymore, I am making a small win! I’ve been organising my existing insurances and warranties and feel comfortable to add new things as they arise! Instead of skipping the insurance option when I was purchasing my sons BMX for Christmas, I went ahead and read through all of the T&C and purchased the extended warranty and insurance! Bike theft is rife here. So simple to file for future reference.

The life admin pack is so helpful!

It’s funny how something so small and silly can make me so happy. I share here, because you are the only people that get it! I wonder if this is dull enough for the dull men’s club  I mean you can’t get much more exciting than this on a Saturday night can you?

:joy: Aah Jade, you’re gold. But yes! These small wins … honestly (and I mean, honestly) even I’m finding the same with ‘life admin’. I’m so happy we designed it like we did. I get a thing that normally I might have thought, eh, I won’t save that[1], but then I think, waaaaaait a minute, there’s already a place…

Also I’m really enjoying dragging files in to Bear, which I never did previously. Most recently: a binary backup file with my new ADSL modem’s settings. Dragged that in to 14.13 My wi-fi & network devices. Because why not? It’s still just a file on disk, but now it’s really obvious that it exists.

  1. I’m really not a digital hoarder. If I don’t think I’ll need it again, I don’t save it for the sake of it. ↩︎
