School holidays are coming up soon. My children don’t get tired of reminding me: The get more time off than I do. So here’s my question: Where do others put childcare in theirs system?
I’m not talking about during school stuff, which is mostly routine, but the time that needs to be filled when there is no school and I’m not on vacation.
It could go into `11.42 My Kids` but that somehow doesn’t feel right. And neither does putting it into `15 Travel, events & entertainment`.
I’ve been trying to set up my LAS for “multi player”. I ended up doing:
4 instances of 11 for each person (similary to extend the end but as “extend the middle”) - but that is obviously wrong - I just don’t know how to resolve this properly.
And in addition, I created a “16 Our Family” which has “16.20 Support Systems” and “16.21+KID1 Daycare” and “16.21+KID2 Daycare”.
+ 11 Person 1
+ 11 Person 2
+ 11 Person 3
+ 11 Person 4
+ ...
+ 16 Our Family
+ 16.10 Records
+ 16.14 Licenses
+ 16.16 Legal documents & certificates
+ 16.20 Support systems
+ 16.21 Daycare
+ 16.21+KID1 Daycare
+ 16.21+KID2 Daycare
+ 16.30 Mental health and wellbeing
+ 16.31 Counselling
+ 16.34 Habits, ...
+ 16.40 Extended Family
+ 16.50 Friends
So most of my kids info is extend the end - the 11.10s, 11.20s, 11.30s, 11.40s, 11.50s.
I haven’t needed childcare for quite some time, but I would put it either in 11.40s or create an area or ID in 11 for school and have it in the school area with extra curricula.
My logic here is: Everything they should move to their one system eventually gets an extended end. Eg. everything under “11.20 Physical health & wellbeing”.
11.23 Primary care
11.23+ @KID1 Primary care
11.23+ @KID2 Primary care
(I use a bit different notation though, but the idea is the same)
Specifically for daycare-school-etc I’ve added new header and ids:
11.90 ■ Education admin
11.91 Daycare
11.91+ @KID1 Daycare
11.91+ @KID2 Daycare
11.92 Maternelle
11.92+ @KID1 Maternelle
11.93 Extracurricular school // e.g. weekend school
11.9x is specifically for institutional learning. For hobby-like activities (like circus/hockey practices or chess, whatever, they will go somewhere under 11.8x )
