Just a simple Hi from me!

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to say hi from Sweden to everyone - my name is David and I am a seeker of a PKM system. I have tried many, and been back and forth about different ideas. Somehow though, I tend to circle back to the idea behind the JD-system. Funny, somehow, because it’s sort of the opposite of where all the new technology is moving with auto-everything and AI.

Oh, I am an Excel entertainer/content creator and educator (mostly in Swedish), and BI consultant running a small consultancy firm with my wife (also it consultant).

Anyways - just saying hi here! I look forward to digging into the forum!
Best regards,

Wow you had me at Excel entertainer, is there content in English I can view?! I’m so intrigued.

@johnnydecimal will probably chime in later on the whole PKM subject  Don’t worry, he doesn’t bite lol. You could start by reading this bit he wrote earlier.

Welcome to the community  !!
If you have any questions at all, feel free to ask them here on in the discord.

I just want links to these Excel pieces. Videos? Please!

Welcome. I hope we can help. I think JD is a pragmatic solution to some of life’s problems — see the link that @_fj kindly shared.

We try not to be dogmatic; to be flexible. So hopefully there’s something here for you.

Thank you for your reply, see - this is where it really gets interesting - I think! Because I would love to have a system where I could store both the shoe sizes of my children (I can not for the life of me remember, and it’s also a moving target!), like “straight facts” like that. But also save loose thoughts I get after listening to a podcast, or when I am out and about and stumbles upon a cool fact or something that I would like to just write down to not loose it.

well - I do publish a video with a short Excel tip every Thursday, and have done that for 364 Thursdays straight, so - given that it’s Thursday today - this is my latest video:

And it gives you a perfect opportunity to practice your Swedish ! (…however, I assume that YouTube translates my handcrafted subtitles so that you at least can get some kind of feeling what it’s all about! :joy:)
