Hey everyone
Is there anyone that uses the johnny.decimal concepts with itil?
I figured JD would lend itself well to the very formalized nature of ITIL.
Could also be an idea for a (more expensive) starter pack.
Have a great day.

Interesting. I used to ‘do’ ITIL in my days running service desks. I didn’t use JD … great idea though, happy to explore it more here.
It seems so straight forward, I’m afraid I’m missing something.
I used your Johnny.Decimal system generator to create a template and it looks … fine. Just seems too easy.

I’ll run this by a few co-workers and see where things go.
I guess the issue is with scoping. Should a whole organisation fit into one system or should it be handled like different projects. Eg. every service get’s it’s own system.
And that’ll depend on the org structure.
My initial hunch says one project = one system. Unless you’re running the incident management team in which case…
Thanks. That’s a good starting point. Setting it up for an entire organisation all at once is definitely too much. Starting with one project at the time breaks it down into more manageable junks. They could still be incorporated into a organisation wide system later on.
