Hi all, I’m pretty new here, but having taken the plunge with the JD University, I thought I would give a little introduction.
I’m Keith, I’m 62 and previously worked in IT (specifically in SAP), like many others I’m sure. I was made redundant at the start of covid and decided to turn a side hustle / hobby of selling Lego parts into an income stream to ease me into full retirement, which I have now been in for about a year.
I’ve been fully immersed in the Apple ecosystem since around 2006 and am currently working mostly on an M1 Mac Studio.
I am a bit of a nerd (and suspect I’m in good company) and really enjoy the productivity, automation, organisation space, but honestly have not been that great at it
I’m an Obsidian user, so glad to see some discussion of it on the forum, which I hope to take part in.
I’m also pretty heavily into Genealogy (and have been on and off since the early 90’s), and aside from my own family, I am researching a one-name study on my relatively rare surname.
I’m hoping JD will bring some structure to all my areas of interest and would like to implement it across my filing system, Obsidian, Taks management, etc. Which leads me to my recommended watch.
The link below is to the best implementation of JD I have seen so far, and is a good indication of my goals in what I’d like to achieve. I hope I’m not breaking any rules sharing here.
