Ex university student wondering how to categorise old university work

Have lots of essays etc from when I did my undergrad and masters.
Not sure what category or area to put them in.
Not sure if I am overthinking!!

At this stage for me, my old uni material is something I keep around for sentimental and future interest reasons rather than being something that I will regularly refer to. Therefore, itā€™s ripe for being archived somewhere without too much additional structure applied to it.

As Iā€™m no longer a student I donā€™t have a specific category for education so this stuff would fit in my 12 Personal category that contains material relevant to me and my interests and that sits within my 10-19 Life area.

I manage my archiving in a non-textbook JD way so would use 09.10 Life archive and create a folder in their called ā€œUniversity workā€ and just dump it all in there.

Thatā€™s me and my system and this will probably not match your set-up, but thought it might be helpful to share how I would approach this problem.

In the standard life admin this is what 11.83 My library is for.

I put about 20 old projects in mine: videos from a weekend away, that time I printed stickers to take to a festival, the files from a dance production that I managed.

If theyā€™re something you just want to hold on to for the future, rather than something you want to refer to frequently, this is the place. ā€˜Neatly labelled with folders by dateā€™ as Iā€™m sure you can hear me saying in your head. :slight_smile:

In this case, maybe just one folder per degree. Keep it simple.

Not super interesting, but I have a small category for ā€œschool stuffā€ (organized by degree/period of my life). It includes transcripts, letters of recommendation, and any coursework and materials I deemed worth saving.

Similar to what Iā€™ve done for my children, they have
Preschool
Infant school/ks1
Junior school/ks2
Secondary school/ks3

Yes like you, my work is kept for sentimental and possibly in the future. I seem to think Iā€™ll be referring back to this more than I actually will. All suggestions are helpful!

Thanks for this. I think that I will use these documents more than I actually will. I mean how many times have I read back on them all since I graduated 2 years agoā€¦? Once!
I feel like library should be a separate category for me maybe, as I am a book lover and information hoarder. I am confused, that everything is fitting into 10-19 life admin, that thereā€™s nothing left for categories in the 20s, 30s, 40s etcā€¦
