Digest emails disabled, can you still enable if you want them?

We all get enough email and personally I don’t find unsolicited automated emails useful. So I’ve turned off the site-wide “summary email” feature.

If you still want this, are you able to turn it on yourself? Could someone test for me please? Though I guess I could probably just test myself hey… :face_with_monocle:

Hmm not sure I can see this feature in my settings. Anyone better at Discourse than me?

Still inclined to leave it off even if it means it’s disabled for everyone.

I could’ve sworn there was a per-user setting, but I don’t see one. I’ll let you know if I find it.

I don’t think I’ve seen the digest option available in this forum, but I am one of the weirdos who likes having it in Discourse.

I’ve turned it back on, can you find it now?

The setting is Disable summary emails for all users. What I really want is to ‘disable the default sending of summary emails’.

I have the option to enable, but the box is unchecked.

There it is! Settings → Email

I have to also admit that, although normally put off by unsolicited messages, I always enable Discourse updates. And it’s easy enough to stop or slow.

It’s back on for me, too! Same as the screenshot from @jack.baty - thank you!
