I am to the point where I am building my system and index finally and I am stuck on two things that I think should be categories but don’t know if that would be a waste of time. Wedding Planning and Home Buying. for context it’s my first wedding, lets hope the last one, and buying our first home. I know that both of these things will require a large number of files but can’t decide if they should be their own category i.e. 10.12 HomeBuying or Areas unto themselves I.e. 20-29 Home Buying 21 Mortgage 22 Seen Homes 23 Homes to see 24 Wishlist Have any of you added something similar to your systems and if so would you share how you classified? ---

My feeling is that both home buying and wedding planning are probably category sized things. I have `32 Property` for any future home buying and selling and that feels ample for one family home that we may eventually move from.\* A small wedding could probably fit under a single ID (maybe with some substructure) but a category might be better. \*Note that this category is separate from Household maintenance and improvement etc, just dealing with the legal and financial aspects of home ownership. ---

I second the category thing. Home buying could even be a subheader in a category house ([be careful with headers though](https://johnnydecimal.com/20-29-communication/22-blog/22.00.0080-headers/)). This feels kinda to big. For me it’s this. Mortgage: `10-19 🏡 Life\ 12 💰 Finance\12.32 Mortgage` Seen homes and homes to see: `10-19 🏡 Life\13 🏡 Living & Transport\13.11 House Search\Subfolder-per-house`
