I notice on the home page of this site as well as in many other structures, the base number is not used (is skipped).

Example:

10-19 Concepts
11 Core Concepts

If we start at 11 and finish at 19, correct me if I’m wrong but we’re only getting nine folders per ID and not ten.

Is the reason we don’t use the lower end number because if we did a computer would display that above the 10-19 Concepts folder in the hierarchy?

Just curious. This is how the home page index of this site is structured, and examples. I feel like we’d want to use ten folders, 10-19 to correspond with the parent folder 10-19 Concepts, not start at 11.

thx

> The standard zeros are a handy set of consistently-numbered 'buckets'. They can store information at the top of areas and categories in the unused space at 00-09.

I reserve them for meta/management purposes.

If this doesn’t sound useful to you, feel free to use them.
